Meet James
Our Jack of All Trades
James’s dedication to Royal Billiard and its customers began well over 20 years ago. Just one week after graduating from college, he began working part-time at the store as a delivery driver. Seven months later, James decided to further his education and pursue an additional degree in Montana. Upon graduating, he returned to this area and taught at an alternative school for troubled youth and those with learning disabilities. In 2002, after two years in the classroom, James returned to the store in a full-time sales role.
The same dedicated and considerate qualities that made James a good teacher also keep him devoted to service in the store. Every day, he can be found answering phones, helping customers, solving problems, taking orders and researching new products. James loves working for a small, family-owned business. His mantra is, “If you care about something, you fix it. If you don’t know how, you learn.”
While he can primarily be found on the sales floor helping customers, it’s not uncommon to see him touching up paint on the walls or weeding the landscaping in the parking lot! He’s always happy to harken back to his days as a delivery driver and assist in the staging and assembly work – anything necessary to cut down on the time it takes to get the product to the customer.
His favorite part of his job is when customers come in to thank him. He loves referrals – the best thing a customer can do is send someone in to see him – it lets him know he is doing something right!
